Referrals

eClinicalWorks 8 has an improved referral tool that allows you to fax the document to the consultant, including the current progress note and any accompanying documentation. And, the referral is tagged so that the consult report can be associated with it.

eClinicalWorks can tell you how well you are meeting established patient care guidelines. And, if there are other clinical measures that you want to track internally, that's easy to do too.

Order Sets

We all know the limitations of templates. Templates are great for the 1% of your patients who present with straight forward single problems. But, they fall short in patients with comorbidities. Order Sets are the answer!

Order Sets simplify the treatment screen. Just select the diagnosis to reveal the treatment options under the Order Set. Use your tablet PC to highlight the checkboxes that correspond to the order. Select from:

Prescriptions
Laboratory tests
Diagnostic imaging studies
Procedures (e.g. cardiac cath, EGD, biopsy, etc)
Immunizations
Referrals to outside providers
Follow-up appointment
Patient education materials
Physician references

Patient Portal†

The Patient Portal provides a HIPAA-compliant method of communicating with your patients on YOUR terms. Want patients to be able to request prescription renewals, but not send the doctor messages? That's easy. The practice controls what patient's can do online and how much access they have to their record.

With Patient Portal your patients can:

Pre-register online
Complete health history form online (you can later import the data directly into the progress note)
Request prescription refills online
Receive lab and diagnostic test results sent by the doctor
View billing statements online
View and print personal health record and immunization record
Receive patient education materials from the doctor
